Prayer Trail Guide – General

Crosses on Prayer TrailCedarbrook Prayer Trail Guide

Be still and know that I am God.              Psalm 46:10

The prayer trail is designed to be a place of quiet reflection and solitude. As you enter may you experience the presence of God.  Meander the ½ mile trail and enjoy the quiet beauty of the world God created. Take slow, calming breaths as you meditate on God.  Allow Him to refresh you. Take time at each of the stations to focus on God, listen for His voice and lift up your concerns to Him.

Station 1: Comfort
God will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.  Rev. 7:17

God is eager to comfort us in our times of need. We are reminded in Scripture to “not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and petition present your requests to God”  (Phil 4:6,7).

Stop and present your needs to God in this place.  This prayer will get you started as you seek Him….

Heavenly Father, thank you that I can come to you right now with all my anxious thoughts, worries, and concerns. I lay before you the concerns that are heavy on my heart and mind … Father, in your love and tenderness comfort me that I may be lifted up to praise your name and bring You glory. Amen.

Station 2:  Guidance
I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
Isaiah 48:17

The Lord your God wants to give you direction, he says to “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find…” (Matt 7:7).  Use the next moments to seek His direction in prayer…

Lord God, I rejoice that you are the one who knows the plans that you have for my life.  Would you direct me on the path so that my journey will be in agreement with the plans you have for me?  Amen.

Station 3: Provision
God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.     Phil. 4:19

We can seek the Lord for all of our needs. The Psalmist said, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” (Ps. 23:1).  You can ask the Shepherd for your provisions as you pray…

Lord, you are my Shepherd who will bring me to the refreshing waters and the restful pastures that I need. You will provide all things that I truly need…. As you meet my needs I will praise you, Lord, and give you thanks.  Amen.

Station 4:  Healing
I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the LORD.     Jer. 30:17

Lord Jesus, you healed the sick and dying and you are the Great Physician.  Like the woman who had suffered much, we can reach out to touch the edge of your garment (Mark 5:27) as we pray…

Lord Jesus, I reach out to touch the hem of your garment that I would be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Then I will go and tell every one of your awesome power and the tender mercies you have shown to me. Amen.

Station 5: Hope
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son.   John 3:16

Jesus provides the hope that we all so desperately search for – hope for the lost, hurting, depressed, sick, & lonely.  His arms are stretched out and waiting for you to come as you surrender in prayer…

Lord Jesus, I come to you seeking the hope that you offer.  I know that it is not available any other place except at the foot of the cross.  Fill me up with faith, confidence, and trust in your finished work at the cross which give me hope in You, Jesus. Amen.

Station 6: Restoration
I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin.     Exodus 34:7

God is all about relationship. He wants a relationship with you and for you to walk in relationship with others.  Yet often there are conflicts and unresolved issues.  Seek Him to help you restore those relationships as you pray…

Father, you are the God of Peace.  I ask that you would help me reconcile my relationships.  I accept your peace and power to help reunite any relationship that is not as you envisioned it.  I ask in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Mediator.  Amen.

Station 7: Consecration
You must be holy because I, the LORD, am holy.  I have set you apart from all other people to be my very own.
Lev. 20:26

Choose to leave from here fully devoted to God, walking in purity, holiness, and the strength of his love.  Commit your way to the Lord as you as you pray…

Holy and Loving Father, I desire to live a life set apart for you and to bring honor and praise to your name.  I seek to love you with all my heart, soul, and strength. Amen.

As you leave the trail and return to your daily life, may you be reminded throughout the day of Jesus words for you…

I am with you always.
Matthew 28:20

We hope you found this trail walk to be a time of refreshing for you. Please feel free to return as often as you would like. This trail is our gift to the community. Let your friends and family know that they are also welcome.
