Cedarbrook Prayer Trail Guide for COUNTRY & WORLD
Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
The prayer trail is designed to be a place of quiet reflection and solitude. As you enter may you experience the presence of God. Meander the ½ mile trail and enjoy the quiet beauty of the world God created. This brochure will help guide your thoughts as you pray for our world on this national holiday. Take time at each of the stations to focus on God, listen for His voice and lift up these and other concerns to Him.
Station 1: Comfort
Truly my soul finds rest in God; Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Psalm 62:1, 2
Many of our Veterans and their families face difficulties and loss as they struggle to reconnect, find work, & face medical and emotional consequences of deployment. Ask God to reach into their family situations with his comfort. Seek God on their behalf as you pray…
Heavenly Father, thank you that we can stand upon the rock. I ask that you would comfort the families of our veterans. Fill them with hope of a better tomorrow as they rest secure in your care for their situations. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
Station 2: Guidance
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6
To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are His. (Job 12:13). Pray for our world leaders to be open to the truth and wisdom that comes from God that we may gain peace in the troubled areas of our world. Seek God on their behalf…
Lord God, King Solomon asked you ‘for wisdom and knowledge, to lead your people.’ Lord, we boldly ask for that same wisdom to fill the leaders around the world to bring about your peace. Amen.
Station 3: Provision
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights… James 1:17
In this economy many families here but around the world are struggling to meet their basic needs with dignity. Seek God on their behalf as you pray…
Lord, we can seek you for “every good and perfect gift from above”. Provide families with employment, food, clothing, shelter, and most of all your love…. As you meet their needs may they see your hand in it and give you praise. Amen.
Station 4: Healing
if my people… will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Seek God’s healing touch on behalf of this earth and the nations of this world as we pray…
Holy God, our world is in turmoil and broken in so many ways. Only your healing touch will restore it to your original intent. We ask that you would bring about physical, emotional and spiritual healing for all people and nations. Amen.
Station 5: Hope
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles Isaiah 40:31
Jesus provides the hope that we all so desperately search for. Hope for the lost, hurting, depressed, sick, and the lonely… His arms are stretched out and waiting for all to come to Him. Pray…
Lord Jesus, I come to you seeking the hope that you offer everyone. Restore in us the hope of your salvation that the citizens of our nation will find their hope in you. Amen.
Station 6: Restoration
Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. 2 Cor. 13:11
Jesus called his disciples to live in unity. Seek Him to help us restore unity in families, between churches, political factions, ethnic groups and nations…
Father you are the God of Peace. Lord, restore the unity you called us to within families, your church, our nation and countries. Help us to be encouragers and to live in peace so that every tribe and tongue will come to know you. In the name of Jesus our Savior and Mediator. Amen .
Station 7: Consecration
choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. Joshua 24:15
Ask God to set our nation apart as a nation that loves and serves Him…
Holy and Loving Father, I will seek to love you with all my heart, soul and strength. I ask that our nation would also seek to serve you with your compassion, grace, love, mercy, and justice. Amen.
As you leave the trail and return to your daily life, may you be reminded throughout the day of Jesus words for you…
I am with you always.
We hope you found this trail walk to be a time of refreshing for you. Please feel free to return as often as you would like. This trail is our gift to the community. Let your friends and family know that they are also welcome.
